Tab Management

Tab management refers to managing your web browser tabs.

Vertical Tabs

Vertical tabs are a way to display your browser tabs vertically along the side of the window, rather than horizontally along the top [1].

Since there is less horizontal space, vertical tabs can make it easier to manage a large number of tabs.

Tab Groups

If you find yourself with lots of browser tabs, or often switching context, consider using tab groups [2] [3].

Tab groups are a way to organize your tabs into visually distinct groups that can be named, colored, collapsed/expanded, or saved/restored for later use.

They are similar to bookmarks, but are more dynamic and ephemeral.

Split View

Split view is a way to display two or more tabs side by side within the same browser window. This can be helpful when comparing or referencing information across multiple tabs.

Startup Tabs

Browsers allow you to configure one or more pages to open on startup. This can be used to automatically open tabs that you use every day, such as your email.

NOTE

Alternatively, you can enable a setting to open all tabs from your last session.
