Incident Management

An incident is an unplanned interruption of service.

Incident Management is about restoring services as quickly as possible, including by applying temporary solutions [1].

NOTE

Notably, an incident is something that was working but has stopped, while a service request is for something new. There can be low priority incidents and high priority service requests.
